Find The Light!!!

I’ve gone by lots of names in my life - Jody, mom, sister, daughter, friend, SoulShiner and this year I add divorcee to the list. Most of my friends and family know my new status but I’ve yet to write it down in my weekly post. This morning I feel like it’s time.

It’s been a year full of grief, loss, heartbreak and tears but also love, growth, crazy amounts of support and now, feelings of hope, excitement and possibility!!! Life can feel so, so hard and when you’re in the trenches, a happy future can seem really far away. Here’s my advice - if you’re in it, find a way to claw your way out. Ask for help, be patient, remember your value and worth, know you are loved. One day you’ll wake up and realize that you’re back in the light. That’s how I feel this morning. I’m ready to get on with my life and know that my future (and the future of my boys) is bright and shiny.
