Ever notice how your body feels after sitting for hours? Maybe you're stiff, your muscles feel tight, or things just don't move as easily. And then you get up, walk around, stretch a little, and start to feel better. There's a reason for that. Actually, lots of reasons!!!!

I've been reading about something called the interstitium - a network of fluid-filled spaces within our connective tissues. Researchers are exploring how these spaces help tissues respond to pressure and movement, possibly acting like tiny shock absorbers.

So when we walk, dance, stretch, or lift something heavy, we're doing more than moving muscles. We're stretching and compressing connective tissue, changing pressure, and influencing fluid movement throughout our bodies.

And those spaces between our cells? They're part of an environment where nutrients, immune cells, and chemical signals move. Hydration matters, too. Water helps maintain the fluid environment our cells depend on.

There's still so much we're learning about how our bodies work together. And I love that!

Another reason to get up, move around, and keep moving throughout your day.

Move the body. Calm the mind.

Love,

Jode xo
