Take A Stand!!

Hey Team! Quick reminder for the day - remaining in a seated position for an extended period of time can create muscle imbalances in the hips. When you’re seated, your hips are flexed which puts your hip flexor muscles in a shortened position, making them tighter, and the muscles in the back (the glutes!!) in a lengthened position. This position turns off the glutes which can then lead to low-back pain. If you work in a job that requires you to be seated through most of the day, look for opportunities to stand up and move around. Boom!
