September Slim Down


Hello, SoulShiners!! Wow, here we are in September already and the kids heading back to school. If you’ve spent this summer staying away from chips and salsa and margs, great for you! If you’ve let your healthy habits slip a bit, then it’s time for you to get back on track.

SoulShine Slim Down is back in action! This is the same challenge as we did last September, the only exception is that the entry fee will be $20 instead of $10...more money for the winners...1st, 2nd, and 3rd!

The rules are simple. On September 1st, step on a scale and take a picture of your weight. Send your pic to me via soulshinetraining@gmail.com or text me at 802-369-9335 (for my eyes only, I promise!!). Choose your weight loss plan, and then on September 30th, send me a picture of your weight again. The person with the greatest percentage of body weight lost wins!! For example, if you start out at 158 lbs and lose 6 lbs then your percentage of weight loss is 3.8%.

Losing weight is tough, it takes some serious will power, but it’s probably just what your body is craving. There are lots of plans out there that you can follow to help you on your weight loss journey. Let’s not think of this challenge as a new diet though, lets think of it as a lifestyle change, a healthy and motivating and lasting lifestyle change.

Here are a few healthy eating plans to help you get on your super awesome SoulShine Slim Down track. MIND, DASH, The Whole 30, Weight Watchers, South Beach, 80/20, Paleo, Ketogenic, journaling/food tracking, private or semi-private personal training/health coaching sessions with me, and/or just some good old fashioned clean eating (pure, unprocessed, low sugar, whole grains, protein and fruit and veggie and water rich).

We’ll be using our private Facebook group page, Team SoulShine, to swap recipes, give encouragement, and find motivation. Just say the word and I’ll add you.

There you have it, folks!! My role in all of this? I want to help you achieve your goal in any way that I can but this is your challenge. This is your time to get your cravings harnessed, to clean out the junk, and to find ways to get your super awesome sweat on! It’s my goal to help you become your own best ally, asset, and advocate. Set your goal, follow a plan, track your results, stay motivated, motivate others, and repeat.
