Hey happy people!!! What a scorcher today is!!! I'm soaking up all that our lovely state has to offer....no complaints here. :)
Our SoulShine Slim Down wrapped up on Friday with a total weight loss percentage of 29.68% by our 13 players. Congratulations to our winners (and to all who played!!).
First place - Hope Yeager - down 6.80% - winning $180
Second place - Judi Greene - down 5.57% - winning $60
Third place - Melissa McInerney - down 5.18% - winning $20
Losing weight is not easy. Changing habits is hard work. Challenges like this one help you to dig a little deeper and figure out what makes your body and brain tick. You may figure out that the slim down doesn't work for you or that August isn't a great month to begin a diet. Or you may learn that it takes a good and solid 3-5 days to slay the sugar dragon or that your cardio ability is greater when you lower your carb intake. My recommendation is to just keep trying new things until you find what works for you. It is a good thing to be at a healthy weight, period. Your knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, back, and brain will be much happier.
Take active steps today to become a healthier person. Hoping and wishing and crossing your fingers is not good enough. Today is a new day. This week is going to be amazing and you are going to work hard at you....I just know it....and so do you!!
