I've been on a mission for quite a few years now to be happy and to find ways to increase my joy. The pursuit of happiness is not always easy and when life gets busy, I sometimes lose my focus. The up side to this is that I’m getting better at bouncing back to my happy resting state when stress starts creeping in. Sometimes I even prime my family by saying that I plan on having a fun day and smiling the whole time. That sets the intention and they are aware that I’m choosing to spend the day being happy. It works, no joke.
There are lots of effective ways to boost your happiness each day such as being a true friend to the important people in your life, having a strong sense of purpose, finding beauty in the little things, loving your work, practicing gratitude, being present, having a positive attitude, living a healthy lifestyle, asking for help when you need it, forgiving - which lets you release resentment, being kind to yourself, and letting yourself have fun!!! Now’s the time to figure out what inspires you, supports you, and gives you strength. Allow yourself to be joyful, you deserve every single minute of it!
